Obituary for Gregory G. "Gregg" Rihn

Gregory G. Rihn, age 58, passed away Saturday June 28, 2008 at his home in rural Bloomer. He was born November 8, 1949 in Chippewa Falls to Melvin & Denese (Peterson) Rihn. He graduated from Bloomer High School in 1967. He married Constance (Culver) Metcalf on February 12, 2000 in Eau Claire. Gregg worked at P & B trucking, American Materials, dairy farming, Allied Black Top, drove semi trucks nation-wide and was a heavy equipment operator for many different companies. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Bloomer Masonic Lodge, Bloomer Moose Lodge and Operating Engineers. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Gregg is survived by his mother: Denese Rihn of Bloomer; his wife: Constance of Bloomer; one son: Charles (Renee) Rihn of Chetek; one daughter: Tina (Jon) Bohl of Bloomer; one step-daughter: Carissa Metcalf of Madison; two brothers: Gene Rihn of Bloomer & Merle (Jeannie Turner) Rihn of Bloomer, one sister: Janet (Tom) Krenz of Bloomer; two grandchildren: Nichole Bohl & Connor Rihn; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father: Melvin.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran church with Rev. Gary Sahs officiating. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Tuesday at the Olson Funeral Home where there will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 PM. They may also call one hour prior to the services at church on Wednesday.
