Obituary for George "Junior" Sutor Jr.

George Sutor, Jr., age 39, passed away at his home on Friday, July 15, 2011. He was born July 9, 1972 in Philadelphia PA to George Sr. and Susan Todahl Sutor. He was part owner and worked at Big Swede’s Resort on Lake Holcombe. George, affectionately known as “Junior”, was an outstanding competitor, always wanting to do his best at whatever he tried. He was a stand out in college athletics and also traveled with the globetrotters. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, surfing, beach volleyball and playing just about any sport. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his mom, dad and brother as well as his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Above and beyond that, he excelled at his job at Big Swede’s. When going to Swede’s, you were greeted with that boyish smile, a hand shake and friendly conversation. He enjoyed bantering with his customers and he treated them like friends. “Junior” will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his parents: George and Sue Sutor of Holcombe; brother: Michael Sutor of LaCrosse; grandmother: Jean Todahl of Eleva; aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Orville Todahl and his paternal grandparents: Andrew and Evelyn Sutor.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 6:00 PM at East Bay Resort on Lake Holcombe with David W. Olson officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday at East Bay.
