Gene Rihn

Gene R. Rihn, age 69, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer. He was born January 5, 1944 in Bloomer to Melvin and Denese (Peterson) Rihn. He worked as a dairy farmer and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother: Denese of Bloomer; two daughters: Michelle (Jeffrey) Loew of Hawkins WI and Tina (Travis) Myers of Eau Claire; one brother: Merle (Jeannie Turner) Rihn of Bloomer; one sister: Janet (Tom) Krenz of Bloomer; three grandchildren: Sara, Amy and Ashley; six great-grandchildren: Al, Taylor, Hanna, Nathaniel, Addison and Jason.

He was preceded in death by his father: Melvin and one brother: Greg Rihn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
