Frank D. Stoik, age 79, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by family. He was born September 4, 1933 in Bloomer to Donald and Dorothy (Rufledt) Stoik. He married Audrey Borofka on April 28, 1953 in Bloomer. Frank worked as a dairy farmer and truck driver. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer and a founding member of the Chippewa County National Farmer’s Organization (NFO). He was actively involved in politics and always enjoyed a good debate, attributes passed on to his family. Frank was an avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his children and grandchildren participate in local athletics.
He is survived by his wife: Audrey of Bloomer; five sons: Don (Jane) Stoik of Bloomer, Tony (Sue) Stoik of Bloomer, Mike (Cindy) Stoik of Cathedral City CA, Bob (Cathy) Stoik of Pleasanton CA and Jeff (Wendy) Stoik of Eau Claire; four daughters: Debbie (Pat) Dean of Lake Elmo MN, Barb (Tom) Colosimo of Oakdale MN, Jackie (Brian) Panzer of Marshfield WI and Annie (Lary) Boese of Bloomer; one sister: Nancy Gagnon of Arizona; 22 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Donald and Dorothy Stoik, and one grandson: Cale Stoik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation Tuesday evening.
