Frances M. Campbell, age 90, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Wissota Health and Vent Center in Chippewa Falls. She was born on May 18, 1922 in Duluth, MN to Axel and Ottilia (Anderson) Mattson. She married Hugh H. Campbell on June 20, 1947 in Chicago, IL. She entered Ball State Teachers College at the age of 16 and after graduating she worked as a librarian and an English teacher in Indiana for many years. She was a member of the Tri Kappa Service Sorority of Indiana and Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. In her free time she enjoyed reading, shopping, chatting on the phone, visiting with friends and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary Lynn (Dan) Toycen of Chippewa Falls; three grandchildren: Craig (Holly) Toycen of Chippewa Falls, WI, John (Elizabeth Engelmann) Toycen of Eden Prairie, MN, and Michael Toycen of Minneapolis, MN; two great-grandsons, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Hugh H. Campbell; sister: Irene Silverman; brother: Kenneth Mattson.
Funeral Services will be held at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls on Friday December 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM. There will be a visitation from 4:00-6:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place in Iron Mountain, MI at a later date. Please direct memorials to the Endowment Fund of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.
