Evelyn Kelm

Evelyn F. Kelm, age 95, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born August 10, 1913 in the Town of Cook’s Valley, Chippewa County, Wisconsin to Iba & Louise (Berg) Kressin and grew up in Fox Settlement. She married Herbert Kelm on June 1, 1933 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. Evelyn worked for Keystone Evergreen Crafts, Falls Dairy, Baldwin Hospital and she babysat for many children. She, along with her husband, Herb, owned and operated the Baldwin Motel in Baldwin, Wisconsin. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer and loved traveling.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Herbert; five brothers: Henry, George & Melvin and two in infancy.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Marvin & Lois Kelm of Bloomer; one daughter & son-in-law: Joyce & Maurice Conrad of Bloomer; one sister: Lucile Rokenbrodt of Chippewa Falls; nine grandchildren: Paul (Jen) Kelm, Marla (Matt) Nunke, Dale (Jessie) Kelm, Karla (Scott) Nelson, Karen Kramschuster, Monte (Heather) Conrad & Kim Conrad; 13 great-grandchildren: Alex, Brooke & Cole Nunke, Ben, Josh & Lydia Kelm, Claire Evelyn & Gabe Kelm, Cooper Nelson, Morgan, Lorin & Ike Kramschuster & Winston Conrad; two step-great-grandchildren: Ben Nelson & Dalton Dezern; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer with Rev. John Backus officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 �" 8:00 on Friday at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church or School.
