Eugene F. Lueck

Eugene F. Lueck, age 87, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Dove Nursing Home in Bloomer. He was born November 1, 1930 in the Town of Bloomer to Frederick and Wilhelmina (Horn) Lueck. He married Maurine D. Vaver on October 14, 1952 in Stillwater, Minnesota. Eugene worked as a dairy farmer all of his life, retiring in 1995. He served on the Bloomer Town Board for 30 years, was the president of the Bloomer Cemetery Board, was on the Wisconsin Towns Association and was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer, where he served on the church council.

He is survived by his wife: Maurine of Bloomer; one son: Jeffrey (Tim Parish) Lueck of Booneville MO; two daughters: Hali (Dan) Dessecker of Rice Lake and Dawn (James) Delaney of Bloomer; grandchildren: Brant (Amanda) Alman, Alex Alman, Dianne (Austin) Robinson and Brittany Walters; three great-grandchildren: Rocklyn and Korbyn Alman, Olive Robinson; Step-grandchildren: Jenni (Tommy) Bernardson, Lisa Goodmanson, Matthew (Amyee) Delaney; four step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Minnie; sister: Lucille Friberg.

Funeral services will be held on Monday. July 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bloomer. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
