Elsie Mary ""Grandma Great"" Krueger (Loew)

Elsie “Grandma Great” M. Krueger, age 88, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Bloomer after a year long battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1927 in the Town Tilden to Emil and Anna (Reischel) Loew. She married Allen Krueger on June 3, 1946 in Bloomer. Elsie was a domestic engineer and was an accomplished cook and baker, making wonderful wedding cakes and publishing a cook book. She enjoyed sewing, playing the organ and, visiting with friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons: Richard and Steve Krueger, both of Bloomer; two daughters: Darlene (Kenneth) Sarauer of Chippewa Falls and Lorraine (Charlie) Rubenzer of Bloomer; one sister: Viola (Gerald) Prince of Chippewa Falls and Florence (Ben) Hrdlicka of Jim Falls; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in her parents: Emil and Anna Loew; husband Allen; brothers: Harold, Arnold, Gilbert and LeRoy Loew.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August, 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer, with a visitation from 10:00 – 12:30 PM on Friday at Olson Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the North Catholic Cemetery.
