Elenere D. Schmock, age 85, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born February 22, 1928 to Lewis and Mildred (Menard) Donaldson. She married Donald Schmock on July 17, 1945 in Bloomer. She worked as a domestic engineer, raising four children and taking care of her husband. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, gardening, puzzles and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: Daniel (Wendy) Schmock of Eau Claire; daughters: Patricia (James) Stolen of Wausau, Gloria (Joel) Vettrus of Bloomer and Janet (Tom) Zwiefelhofer of Bloomer; brothers: Elwood (Nina) Donaldson and Robert (Liala) Donaldson; half brothers: James (Donna) Donaldson and Chuck (Marleen) Donaldson; half sister: Rosella (Swede) Dalhoe; nine grandchildren: Craig (Kira) Stolen, Derek (Stephanie) Stolen, Christian (Jen) Vettrus, Jodi (Kyle) Hunter, Erica (Ryan) Champlin, Nicholas (Carling) Schmock, Bradley Schmock, Tara (Ben) Leiby, Cale Zwiefelhofer; great-grandchildren: Kaisa and Siri Stolen, Avery and Emily Hunter, Christopher and Ethan Champlin, and Caleb Leiby.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Mildred; husband: Donald; sister: Hazel; half sisters: Mary and Kathy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
