Edward Reeb

Edward G. Reeb, age 87, after a long bout with cancer passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Luther Midelfort Northland in Barron. Edward was born on January 6, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. He married Lorraine Schroeder in on February 22, 1985. Ed served proudly in the United States Army during World War II. Ed worked for many years as an electrician and telephone repairman for Western Electric Company. Ed had a huge heart and opened his home to those in need. In his free time Ed enjoyed reading, watching TV, spending time with his special friend Brandi Rose, and visiting with his family & friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons: Edward R. Reeb & Raymond Reeb, daughter: Marilyn Reeb, Brothers: Robert and Raymond Reeb, sister: Dorothy Rose.

Survived by his wife: Lorraine of New Auburn, sister: Margaret Corey of Rolling Meadows, IL. Nieces and Nephews: Alan Francik of Glendale Heights IL, Jim (Gale) Horton of Stevensville, MI, Richard (Lynn) Vaughn of Oak Harbor, WA and John Reeb, of Bolling Brook, IL. Special friends Heather & Eric Warwick, Montana Feather, Brandi Parker

Funeral Services will be held at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Friday February 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Chaplin Anne Marie Swanson officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM at the Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18, 2010. Burial will take place in the New Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
