Edna E. LaRose

Edna E. LaRose, Age 89 passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls. She was born on October 1, 1924 in Mauston, WI to Edward and Anna (May) Rudolph. She married John LaRose on June 26, 1948 in Mauston. Edna and John owned and operated LaRose’s Store on the corner of Hwy M and 40 for over 40 years. Edna was an active member of St. Judes Catholic Church in New Auburn and was always busy. She enjoyed being a mother, a foster mother and helped raise many of the children in the neighborhood-an activity she loved.

She is survived by two children: John LaRose and Inez (Robert) North all of New Auburn; sister: Frances Kreppel of Crystal Lake IL; two grandchildren: Sarah (Peter Leer) North and Bobby North; great grandchildren: Ethan North Trowbridge and Ana Melissa North Trowbridge; foster children: Ernie Sylvester, LeRoy Sylvester and Mary Ardines

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: John; brother: Edward; sisters: Mary, Julia, Veronica, Ann, Martha and Elizabeth.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Judes Catholic Church in New Auburn on Friday February 7, 2014 at 5:00 PM with Father John officiating. There will be a visitation from 3:00-5:00 PM at the church on Friday before the service. Spring Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery.
