Edith E. Fleming

Edith E. Fleming, age 92, of Bloomer, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Edith was born on November 22, 1933, in the Town of Auburn, to LaVerne and Elizabeth (Petersen) Moss. On January 2, 1951, Edith married Howard W. Fleming in Bloomer. She worked as a house cleaner for many years and always enjoyed making food for others. Her cookies, scalloped corn and potato salad were often requested. You could also find her doing word searches, playing bingo and spending time with family.

Edith is survived by her son: Alvin (Sally) Fleming of Cadott; daughter: Luella (Jeff) Benish of Tilden; brothers: Jim (Pat) Moss, Maurice Moss and Clyde (Phoebe) Moss; sister: Lorraine Ford; 6 grandsons; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: LaVerne and Elizabeth Moss; husband: Howard Fleming in 2003; sons: Everett and Timothy Fleming; 9 siblings: Florence Woodbeck, Clarence Moss, Irvin Moss, Ione Moss, Janice Moss, Audrey Schindler, Wallace Moss, Ethel Moss, and Lorenzo Moss in infancy.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, on Friday, December 19, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bloomer is assisting the family.
