Earl Hanson

Earl D. Hanson, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Maple Wood in Bloomer. Earl was born on February 18, 1921 in Spring Valley, WI. to Clifford and Rosetta (Anderson) Hanson. He married Shirley Hendrickson on August 18, 1943 in St. Paul MN. Earl owned and operated the White Pine Pavilion in Bloomer for many years. He was a member of Bloomer Lodge 281, the American Legion and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Earl loved spending time with his family and friends as well as traveling, playing the piano, listening to music and dancing.

He is survived by his son: Richard W. Hanson of Bloomer, two grandchildren William (Tawny) Hanson of Bloomer, Brenda (Dan) Hurtis of Bloomer and six
great grandchildren; special companion: Ruby Christianson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Shirley.

Funeral Services will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Bloomer on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Robert Hannemann officiating. A visitation will be held starting at 4:00 PM on Sunday and concluding at the time of service. A committal service will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls WI. on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
