Duane M. Coate III

Duane M. Coate Jr., age 82, passed away on March 28, 2024, at Meadowbrook in Bloomer.

Duane was born on March 29, 1941, in Whittier, California to Duane Sr. and Elizabeth (Ball) Coate.

Duane worked in a yarn factory and was a real estate agent. When he retired, he loved in Las Vegas and like to go to the casino. He then moved to Wisconsin to live with his son and ex-wife Becky. Duane loved all sports. His favorite teams were the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He loved listening to the 60’s oldies but goodies music. Since 1959, Duane was a member of the Mother Church of Christian Science, established in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Duane is survived by his son: Duane Coate III; step-daughter: Marie Lindemann; nephew: Robert; nieces: Marlo and Claudette; step grandchildren: Jackie Shaw, Micah (Raine) Lindemann, Tyler (Brett) Windsor; and step great grandchildren: Ana, Matt, Andre, Jax, George, and Klaus.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Duane Sr. and Elizabeth Coate; sister: Diane Rishel; and brother: David Coate.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Meadowbrook in Bloomer, St. Croix Hospice and their chaplain for all the wonderful care shown to Duane.
