Doris Ann Gassen, age, 72, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 in Rochester MN. She was born on January 22, 1950 in Wisconsin to Elmer and Angeline (Mikl) Swartz. Doris was a loving mother to her rowdy boys. She had the gift of gab and enjoyed sewing, making home videos and spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband: Gary; sons: Randy (Samantha Miller) Gassen, Kevin Gassen, Michael (Erin Gaier) Gassen, Jeffery Gassen and Adam “TJ” Swartz, her “adoptive” son; brothers: Ron (Marie), Louie (Judy), Don (Cindy), Billy (Rita) Swartz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Karen Swartz
A Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
