Doris M. Bathke (Weiner)

Doris M. Bathke, age 84, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at MCHS Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born December 1, 1930 in Chippewa Falls to Oscar and Anna (Siverling) Weiner. She married Julius Bathke on August 30, 1952 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eagleton. Doris was a farm wife who enjoyed working in her garden and watching the wildlife. She was a Badger and Packer fan, an avid reader, a great dancer, but mostly a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by sons: Gary (Pam) Bathke of Bloomer, Mark Bathke of Eau Claire and Scott (Beverly) Bathke of Cedar Falls WI; daughters: Kim (Don) Oldenberg of Bloomer and Kay (Mark Mensik) Bathke of Arvada CO; brother: Jerry Weiner of Eau Claire; sister: Eileen Rihn of Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren: Kari (Garret) Zwiefelhofer, Jana (Leann) Oldenberg, Kelsey Bathke, Kevin Bathke, Tiffany Bathke, Kylie Gibbs and Austin Bathke; two great-grandchildren: Trey and Skylar Zwiefelhofer.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar and Anna Weiner; her husband: Julius; two brothers: Robert and Donald Weiner; one grandchild: Kristin Bathke.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eagleton with a time of fellowship from 11:00 until the time of service at the church.
