Donovan Baier

Donovan R. Baier, age 74, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Bloomer Hospital. He was born June 10, 1938 in Bloomer to Roman and Eleanor (Hepfler) Baier. He married Kay Kunsman on May 31, 1958 in Bloomer. Donnie worked at Bloomer Tire and Nelson Filter and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, playing cards, doing yard work, socializing with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Kay of Bloomer; three sons: Mark (Jackie) of Bloomer; Matthew of Houston TX and Mitchell (Jessica) of Bloomer, one daughter: Michelle (Rick) Bowe of Lake City MN; two brothers: Dan of Wisconsin Rapids and David (Diane) Baier of Bloomer six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father: Keith Sukopp; one infant son: Michael.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer, Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
