Donald E. Radle, age 66, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born September 4, 1947 in Eau Claire to Vincent and Loretta (Schneider) Radle. He married Kay Ferstenou on May 7, 1972 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam War and worked at Uniroyal, Hutchinson Technology and Pactiv. Donald enjoyed studying history, collecting coins, gardening, baseball, football and spending time outdoors, especially with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Kay of Chippewa Falls; three sons: Michael Radle, Jeff (Amanda M.) Radle and Dan (Amanda J.) Radle, all of Chippewa Falls; two sisters: Beatrice Kohlman of Durand and Dorothy Lehr of New Berlin; six grandchildren: Taisha, Marshall, Lexi, Donavon, April and Derick; father-in-law: Walter Ferstenou of Chippewa Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Vincent and Loretta Radle; two brothers: Richard and infant, Joseph.
A Time of Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:00 – 7:00 PM at Don and Kay’s home which is located at 140 W. Cedar St. in Chippewa Falls. A memorial service, with military rites performed by the Bloomer VFW and American Legion, will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer.
