Dean Lunemann

Dean M. Lunemann, age 85, passed away at Dove Wissota Health and Vent Center in Chippewa Falls on Monday, August 22, 2017. He was born on August 6, 1932 in St. Cloud MN to Mark and Maude (Maxson) Lunemann. He married Gloria Rufledt on June 2, 1956 in Bloomer. Dean served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the US Army Expert Rifle Team and was an excellent marksman, a trait he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He worked as a surveyor for the Wisconsin DOT and enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his garden, going out to eat, making chicken on the grill and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by four sons: David of Bloomer, Donald (Lynn) of Bloomer, Thomas of Elk Mound and Brian (Janis) of New Auburn; six grandchildren: Ryan, Andrew (Crystal), Forest, Colton Alyxandria and Megan Lunemann; great grandson: Brady Lotts.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Mark and Maude Lunemann; wife: Gloria; grandsons: Devin and Logan Lunemann.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rufledt Cemetery with military honors performed by the Bloomer American Legion and VFW.
