David J. Rihn

David J. Rihn, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2018 in Juarez, Mexico. He was born on August 26, 1951 in Bloomer to John and Margaret (Mohr) Rihn. He married Rosabel Baguio November 16, 2001. He was previously married to and had children with Cynthia (Dunn) Moe and later to Theresa (Markee) DeRusha.

David grew up farming and had his own farm before becoming a long-distance truck driver. When he wasn’t putting millions of miles on his truck he was cruising on his motorcycle and working on his tractors. He loved a good meal, movies, and truck/tractor pulls. David enjoyed spending time with friends and family and he was always ready to shoot the bull and crack jokes with anyone and everyone.

He is survived by his wife: Rosabel Rihn of Bloomer; mother: Margaret Semingson of Eau Claire; step-mother: Betty Rihn of Bloomer; children: Tammy (John) Pichler of Bloomer, Becky (Jamie Pecha) Rihn of Bloomer, Matt (Nina) Rihn of Madison, Jaime (Chris) O’Connell of Bloomer, Jesse (Amanda) Rihn of Chippewa Falls, Kelly (Dustin) Hengst of Bloomer; siblings: Alan (Cecilia) Rihn, Brad Rihn, Julie (Wade) Hamm, Jerry Rihn, Jeffrey (Brandi) Rihn, Lori (Brian) Pielhop, and Todd (Flordeliza) Hazelton; grandchildren: Montana, Alexandra, and Nickolaus Mattieson; Austin Edwards, Carter Pecha; Samantha and Jonathan Rihn; Kennedy Seyforth, Jackson O’Connell; Keryne Rihn; Chloe and Silas Chavez, Amelia, Urijah, and Amiyah Hengst; great-grand daughter: Aeriella Lane.

He was preceded in death by his father: John Rihn, son: Keith Rihn, brothers: Joe Oldenburg and Mike Marquardt.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
