Daniel Peterson

Daniel L. Peterson, age 74, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born July 15, 1935 in Ruby, WI to Lawrence & Ruth (Olson) Peterson. He married Donna Rubenzer on October 13, 1956 in Chippewa Falls. He owned and operated Dan’s Auto Parts from 1972 to 2001. Although he loved his business and the interaction with the community, he always found time for his family, attending every event his children and grandchildren participated in. In his free time he liked fishing, woodworking, flying his remote control planes and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Donna of Bloomer; two sons: Timothy (Ann Marie) Peterson of Bloomer and Ronald (Jacqueline) Peterson of Bloomer; one brother: David Peterson of Chippewa Falls; five sisters: Nona (Terry) Rubenzer of Tampa FL, Bonnie Gunther of Chippewa Falls, Lorraine (Jim) Bjork of Chippewa Falls, Dorothy (Chuck) Anderson of Stanley, Joyce Sparks of Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren: Jennifer Ann, Sarah Marie, Elise Rebecca, Nicholas Ronald & Emily Mary J Peterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Ruth Peterson; his step-father: Ezra Boettcher and one sister: June Beecher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father James Arthur officiating. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Sunday, May 16, at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
