Dale Phillip

Dale W. “Pops” Phillips, age 62, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls. He was born October 1, 1947 in New Auburn to Thaine & Vera (Madison) Phillips. He worked as a school teacher in Wild Rose, WI where he also coached basketball. He also worked for Nelson Oil and Tire Company in Chetek for 33 years and for Walmart in Hallie. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, doing the Sunday Crosswords and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

He is survived by one son: Bob (Corinna) Haynes of Eau Claire; one daughter: Heather (Dale) Mullenberg of Chippewa Falls; two sisters: Minerva (Lynn) Barnhart of New Richmond & Deanne (Sue) Anderson of Eau Claire; six grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife : Jean Bartley and infant brother: Gaylon

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Bloomer with Rev. Robert Stevens officiating. Interment will be in the New Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Thursday the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the Church.
