Clifford D. Wilfong

Clifford "Cliff" Donald Wilfong, age 79,  passed away at Mayo Clinic in LaCrosse on February 8, 2026.  He was born April 1, 1946 in St. Joseph Missouri to Clifford and Wilma Wilfong. He graduated from high school in Stanberry, Missouri in 1965. He was a cook in the Army stationed in Baumholder, Germany from 1965-1967.

He married Joyce Marlaine Weir from Boyd, WI on March 16th, 1969 at Tillinghast church in New Auburn, WI. They had 3 children Jennifer, Gary and Alisha.

Cliff was a "jack of all trades" he was said to be the "best concrete man in Bloomer." He was a wonderful carpenter who totally gutted and reconstructed the family home plus many other projects over the years. He retired from W.S. Darley, Inc in Chippewa Falls, WI. He was a wonderful employee who was great at his job.

He loved the Lord and used the gifts God had given him to be a powerful worship leader that many still talk about. Music was a big part of his life; watching the Gaither Homecoming videos was something he greatly enjoyed. He was also our fill-in pastor for a few years. He enjoyed reading His Bible and getting his message ready for his next sermon.

His grandchildren were his greatest joy. He loved spending time with them and especially loved the hugs they would give him.

He leaves behind his wife Joyce of 57 years; children: Jennifer (David) Babbitt of Bates City, MO; Gary (Margo) Wilfong of Columbus, OH; Alisha (Jonathan) Wendlandt of Bloomer, WI. Plus 7 grandchildren; Michael, Daniel (Grace) and Hannah Babbitt. Pacen Wilfong. Elise, Carly and Isaiah Wendlandt.

He will be missed but we are so thankful that he is no longer in pain and that the next face he sees will be his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A visitation will be held at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM.  There will be a funeral service on Saturday, February 14 at 1 PM at the Baptist Church in Bloomer with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  There will be a luncheon following the service at the church.
