Obituary for Clarence A. Harm

Clarence Harm, age 87, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Just Like Home in Chetek. Clarence was born in the Cornell area on April 21, 1923 to Albert and Elizabeth (Gilbertson) Harm. He was a staff sergeant in the US ARMY Air Corp and served proudly during WWII. Clarence married Rosemary Walsvig on March 22, 1952 in Cornell WI. He was a jack-of-all-trades; working as a mechanic, a custodian and a carpenter in a lumber yard. He spent most of his life as a ranger and care taker at a local Girl Scout Camp and, most recently, in Texas. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, working jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, reading books, watching TV (especially westerns), bowling, and riding horses. What Clarence enjoyed most was conversing and visiting with his friends and family.

He is survived by three sons: Greg (Sandy) Harm of Rice Lake, Jeff Harm of Bloomer, and Scott (Kristi) Harm of Azle TX; one daughter Lori (Daniel) Hanson of New Auburn; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Rosemary; three brothers: Clifford, Ernest and Henry Harm.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM St. Jude’s Church in New Auburn. There will be a visitation from 12:00-2:00 PM at the church on Saturday and lunch will be served following the service. There will be no visitation Friday evening.
