Chris S. Schmidt

Chris S. Schmidt, age 55, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born Feb 17, 1966 in Park Falls WI to Steve & Carole (Zwiefelhofer) Schmidt. He worked at PMI and enjoyed listening to music, using his computer, playing cards and darts, taking the occasional trip to Vegas and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife: Melissa of Bloomer; children: Derek Schmidt of Altoona and Deven (Elizabeth) Schmidt of Eau Claire; his parents: Steve and Carole Schmidt of Bloomer; aunts & uncles: Joyce Brueck of Chippewa Falls, Rod (Sue) Zwiefelhofer of Bloomer, Brenda Custer of Bloomer, Gail (Keith) Harings of Bloomer, Scott (Dawn) Zwiefelhofer of Bloomer, Lisa (Jim) Ruf of Bloomer, Sharon (Jerry) Hartman of Eau Claire; In-Laws: Gerard and Mary Seurer of Bloomer, Christine Dornon and family of Bloomer, Suzanne Haile and family of Chippewa Falls, Jennifer Vollendorf and family of Elk Mound; Jeremy Seurer and family of Chippewa Falls; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Melissa Schmidt; paternal grandfather, Reuben Schmidt; paternal grandmother, Pearl Schmidt-Krenz; maternal grandparents, Wilbert and Alvera Zwiefelhofer; uncles, Steven Zwiefelhofer, John Custer, Joel Zwiefelhofer and Jody Schmidt; cousin: Jennifer Custer.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Olson Funeral Home with a public visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com.
