Charlene Winona Polanski (Gonsolin)

Charlene W. Polanski, age 88, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Eau Claire Hospital.

Charlene was born on July 31, 1934 in Cornell, WI to Martin Gonsolin and Enda Smith. On April 18, 1953, Charlene married Raymond L. Polanski in Cornell. In 1960, they moved to their current residence on Lake Como in Bloomer. She worked at the Bean Factory, Ben Franklin and Bloomer Hospital for many years. She loved gardening and quilting. She was a wonderful baker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 69 years: Raymond Polanski, daughter: Peggy (Bobby) Heward, son: Robin (Darlene) Polanski, grandchildren: Christopher Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Benjamin Rogers, Daniel Irwin, Nicholas Irwin, Jennifer Elmore, Alex Polanski, and Austin Polanski, Great Grandchildren: Natalya Winner, Avery Elmore, Kolton Irwin, Kynsie Irwin, Abigail Irwin, Alorna Irwin, Cooper Rogers, Sawyer Rogers, Penelope Rogers, Madison Rogers, Olivia Rogers, Nora Rogers, and Olivia Polanski, sister: Susan Buster, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her daughter: Polly Rogers, father: Martin Gonsolin, mother: Edna Smith, and brother: Irvin Gonsolin.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bloomer with a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 at the church.
