Cecilia Schmidmayr

Cecilia M Schmidmayr, age 78, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born January 15, 1932 in Bloomer to Reinhard & Florence (Bergeron) Geissler. Cecilia was in the convent for 10 years and was a teacher at St. Charles and Notre Dame schools. She married Francis Schmidmayr on June 8, 1960 in Wauzeka, Wisconsin. She enjoyed going to thrift sales, listening to Francis play the accordion working with flowers and daily prayer time. She loved her boys, Tom & Gary, her cat, Puff and her dog, Muffy.

She is survived by two sons: Tom Schmidmayr of Eau Claire & Gary Schmidmayr of Chippewa Falls; one sister: Rose Mary Stonequist of Fort Meyers Florida; one sister-in-law: Margie Geissler of Chippewa Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Francis; two brothers: Francis “Franny” and Alfred Geissler

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father James Arthur officiating. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer. Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. There will be no visitation Tuesday evening.
