Cecilia  D. Anderson

Cecilia D. Anderson, age 77, passed away at the Mayo Clinic in Bloomer on Wednesday, March 02, 2016. She was born December 16, 1938 in the Town of Sampson to Grant and Loretta (Crank) O’Connell. She was married to Willis Anderson on November 5, 1966 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Auburn. She worked as a self-employed home health care provider and was a member of New Auburn Lion’s Club, the Golden Girls, the Cootiettes and the Blue Diamond Snowmobile Club. She volunteered as a Cub Scout leader, and enjoyed fishing, feeding the animals and watching all sports, especially the Brewers and the Packers.

She is survived by sons: Ben (Marian) Anderson of Eau Claire, Paul Anderson of Chetek, Andy Anderson of Bloomer and Steve Anderson of Chetek; siblings: Ronald (Rosie) O’Connell of Eau Claire, Rosella Rihn of Bloomer, Beverly (LaVerne) Killen of Cherry Valley IL; grandchildren: Kathryn, Grant, Hunter and Natalie; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Grant and Loretta O’Connell; husband: Willis; siblings: Loyola Sundly and Richard O’Connell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:30 PM at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Auburn. There will be a visitation from 11:30-1:30 at the Church before the service.
