Carol Ann Clements (Olson)

Carol A. Clements, age 63, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 22, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born December 14, 1950 in Chippewa Falls to Chester and Lola (Ellis) Olson. She married David W. Clements on September 18, 1971 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. She worked as a registered nurse for the Bloomer Hospital for over 30 years and taught pre-natal classes. After an extensive career at Bloomer Memorial Medical Center which included Staff Nurse, OB Clinical Director and Clinical Care Coordinator, Carol retired to spend more time with her family. She enjoyed shopping for good deals, playing bingo, traveling, camping at Morris-Erickson campground with the grandkids and was a volunteer at the food pantry, the Free Clinic and at church.

She is survived by her husband: David of Bloomer; two sons: Gregory (Angela) Clements of Bloomer and Joshua (Malia) Clements of Bloomer; one daughter: Lauri Clements of Rochester MN; one brother: Larry (Arlette) Olson of Chippewa Falls; one sister: Darlene (Hap) Hill of Anaheim CA; six grandchildren: Brittney (Wade) Norberg, Nick, Katelyn, Kaleb, Brennan and Colt Clements; two great-grandchildren: Gabe and Cora Norberg; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Chester and Lola Olson; one brother: Chuck Olson; two sisters: Bonnie Suki and Irene Olson; one grandson: Cole Clements.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cooks Valley with Father John Potaczek officiating. Interment will be in the St. John’s Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Olson Funeral home in Bloomer where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM.
