Bruce Abbott Kezerle

Bruce Abbott Kezerle, age 80, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in Chippewa Falls, WI.

Bruce was born on May 17, 1945, in Somerville, MA to George and Margery (Brannen) Kezerle. He enlisted in the Navy and made a 22 year career of being a Boatswain Mate.

On August 16, 1975, he married Mary T. Witt in Wilmington, IL. Bruce enjoyed his retirement jobs of raising Newfoundland Dogs and working at the bait shop. His time was also spent fishing, playing and teaching chess, reading, being outside in nature and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Kezerle; children: Heather (Peter) Pederson of New Auburn, Amanda Kezerle of Bloomer, Stephanie Kezerle of Bloomer and Meg (Sean) of Iowa; sister: Beverly (Terry) Cavanaugh; grandchildren: Corey Kezerle, Michael and Cole Pederson; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Margery Kezerle; brothers: George II, Mark and Steven.

A celebration of his life will be held this summer at the lake. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
