Bradley "Dean" D. Parent

Bradley D. “Dean” Parent, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his home.

Dean was born on January 27, 1963, in Los Angeles, California. His parents were Thomas and Audrey “Jeanette” (Drannon) Parent.  He grew up in Santa Barbara with his parents, and brother and sister.  He left Santa Barbara in his mid twenties, eventually settling in Wisconsin where he lived the rest of his life.

Dean attended Hamline University in Minnesota and graduated with a degree in Geology.  He learned to cook from his mom and became fascinated with cuisine at a young age.  He worked as a chef all over the world and had a passion for food and the pursuit of culinary innovation. Dean enjoyed living in New Zealand and being 90% Welsch, he was very interested in his Viking heritage.  Dean’s gatherings and parties were legendary and he would bring life into a room whenever he entered.  He could make friends faster than anyone and keep them for life.  He will be missed for his generosity, and love of friends and dedication to fun.

Dean is survived by his wife: Laura (Kannel) Parent; children: Lila, Enzo and Neko and their mother: Kate Martin; and siblings: Doug and Cassandra Parent.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Audrey Parent.
