Bonnie L. Fisher, age 65, of Menomonie, passed away on January 1, 2024, due to complications of diabetes, with her son at her side.
Bonnie was born on February 11, 1958, in Chippewa Falls, WI to Edward and Delores (Krejci) Sarauer. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Bloomer High School in 1976. Bonnie went on to school and earned a degree in accounting. She married Vincent Fisher and they later divorced. She held various jobs throughout her life including Cray Research in Chippewa Falls and most recently at Phillips in Menomonie. Her favorite pastimes were dancing to the music of The Memories and Pony Express. She could also be found shopping for fashionable clothing or jewelry, baking lemon bars and lemon meringue pies for potlucks at work. One of Bonnie’s bucket list items was to make one last trip to Turtle Lake and her dear friends helped fulfill that wish 2 days before she passed. Bonnie will be missed by all who knew her.
Bonnie is survived by her son: Kyle Fisher; brothers: David (Margaret), Larry, John, Stanley (Susan); sister: Susanne (Bob) Adams; sister-in-law: Jean Sarauer; K9 companion: Shadow; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Delores Sarauer; brothers: Wayne in infancy and Jeffrey Sarauer; and sisters-in-law: Doris Sarauer and Sandra Sarauer
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
