Betty A. Wallsch

Betty Ann Wallsch, age 95, passed away peacefully at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer on December 10, 2021. She was born on May, 28 1926 and was one of 15 children born to Leo and Beryl (Walker) Cartwright. She married Harlen Wallsch on July 20, 1944 in New Auburn. She worked as a Physical Therapist was a faithful member of the Bloomer United Methodist Church. Betty rarely missed church on Sunday’s and was always ready to greet people with a handshake and a hug. In her free time she enjoyed crafts, pottery, sewing and spending time with family and friends. Betty was a loving and caring person and was always willing to help anyone who needed it.
She is survived by her daughters: Nancy (Dale) Kruger Forest City IA and Ruth (Don) Hill of Colfax; son: Duane (Debbie) Wallsch of Colfax, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; god daughter Sandra Strzok, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Leo and Beryl; husband: Harlen; daughter: Karen Ahlquist; 14 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on at the Bloomer United Methodist Church Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM with burial in the Bloomer Cemetery. There will be a visitation at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 14 2021 and one hour prior to the service at the church. The service will be lived streamed on the Church website.
