Benjamin Durch

Benjamin “Ben, Benny” James Durch, age 47, passed away November 22, 2022 in Palm Springs, Calif. due to a massive stroke with family by his side. He was born October 1, 1975, in Minneapolis Minn. to Dennis and Carla Durch.

He lived in Bloomer until moving with his family to Palm Springs, Calif. There he spent the rest of his life. He graduated from Cathedral City High School, then joined the Navy. After the Navy he worked as a golf course attendant and in the auto parts industry.

His favorite past times were watching any and all sports. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He also liked playing video games and especially spending time with his daughter, Caylynn.

He is survived by his daughter: Caylynn; father: Dennis Durch; step-mother: Linda Durch; friend: Stacy; grandmother: Dorothy “Jean” Blythe; uncles: Larry (Amy) Durch, Danial (Pam) Durch, Scott (Dolly) Durch, Chuck (Lana) Durch, Steven Durch, aunts: Debbie (Mike) Perry, Christy (Brian Schwab) Durch, Rhonda Durch,  Nancy Holte, Susie (Tom) Bleskacek, Cindy (Mike) Stoik, Dawn Dezern, Jackie Davis and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Carla; son: Cayden; grandparents: Robert Durch, Kenneth Dezern, Dan Blythe; Janice and Gerald Bleskacek; uncles: Bobby Durch, Mark Durch; cousins: Bethany Durch, Jeremy Arendt, Travis Bleskacek.

Graveside services will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:15 PM.  There will be a Celebration of life at the Pines Ballroom in Bloomer from 3:00-5:00 PM.  Olson Funeral Home and cremation is assisting the family.  Online condolences can be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
