Barbara A. Wildenberg

Barbara A. Wildenberg, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire.

Barb was born on June 3, 1942 in Bloomer to Gilbert C. and Muriel A. (Schmidt) Geissler.

On February 17, 1984 Barb married Frederick J. “Fritz” Wildenberg in Las Vegas, NV.  For many years, Barb was a successful Avon sales representative. She also managed an apartment complex in the Twin Cities while babysitting her first two granddaughters. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, watching sports, the camaraderie of playing cards and going out for breakfast with her friends.

Barb is survived by her sons: Duane (Linda) Meinen of Brooklyn Park, MN and Kevin (Joyce) Meinen of Bloomer; step son: Jim Wildenberg of Colorado; brother: Donovan (Kathy) Geissler; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; other relatives; friends and K9 companion: Pixie.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Gilbert and Muriel Geissler; husband, Fritz; and infant son: Michael.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 AM on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the at the White Pine Pavilion, 9832 County Hwy SS in Bloomer followed by a memorial service starting to 11:30 AM.  Private inurnment will be at the North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer.  Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
