Barbara R. "Bette" Dahl (Hudek)

Barbara R. "Bette" Dahl, age 86, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at MCHS in Bloomer. She was born September 18, 1927 in Ada MN. She attended St. Paul’s Catholic School in Bloomer and graduated from High School from St. Mary’s Academy in Praire du Chien WI. She attended Ripon College and also received business training in Minneapolis. She married James M. Dahl on September 13, 1947 in Bloomer. Barbara was an excellent homemaker and stay-at-home mom who loved playing the organ and piano. She shared her love of music with the church, nursing homes and other organizations. Barbara’s faith was very important to her and she participated in a variety of mission work, including a trip to Haiti. She was always interested in the happenings of the day and, throughout her entire life, stayed current with the news. She will be remembered for her commitment to preserving the environment for future generations.

She is survived by one son: Stephen (Georganne) Dahl of Duluth MN; two daughters: Sandra (Wayne) Seefeldt of New Auburn WI and Stacy (Tom) Engesether of Roberts WI; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dr. Daniel and Floye (Barber) Hudek; her spouse: James and one brother: Dallas Hudek.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00. Interment of cremains will be in the Scandinavian Cemetery, Town of Woodmohr, Chippewa County.
