B. Jean Frank

B. Jean Frank, age 90, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Our House in Chippewa Falls. She was born November 5, 1933 in Davenport, Iowa to Louis and Myrtle (Brinkman) Bickel. She married Duane “Tom” Frank on June 3, 1952. Jean worked as a bank teller for Security Bank in New Auburn and was the owner of Island Lake Sport Shop. She had a green thumb and it was said she could grow anything out of anything! Jean was a very social person and enjoyed being around people, going on the “occasional” trip to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends. 

She is survived by 3 sons: Thomas (Sharon), John (Dorothy) and James (Donna); 1 daughter: Cathy Jo (Larry) Tice; daughter-in-law: Dorri (Joe) Waldera; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Tom; one son: Scott, parents: Louis and Myrtle; brother: Louis M. Bickel.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 12:00 Noon, at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 10:00 – 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Island Lake Cemetery. 

The family would like to thank everyone who had been part of her care. Especially the staff at Our House and Heartland Hospice.
