Arlene Henning

Arlene C. Henning, age 86, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at The Maple Wood in Bloomer. She was born April 20, 1924 in Foster WI to Raymond and Amy (Rohlfs) Pehlke. She married Frederick “Fritz” Henning on April 22, 1944 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She spent her life as a housewife, supporting life on the farm. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer and was an active member of the Ladies fellowship. In her free time she loved sewing, cooking, canning, baking and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband: Fritz of Bloomer; three sons: Vernon (Joyce) Henning of Marshal WI, Rodney (Betty) Henning of Chippewa Falls and Stanley (Karen) Henning of Elk Mound; one daughter: Vernetta “Nettie” (Tom) Morrissey of Chippewa Falls; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Velda Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Interment will be in the Foster Cemetery which is located one mile east of Foster in Eau Claire County Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
