Angeline (Pansy) Ferg, age 88, passed away at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer on Monday, May 4, 2015. She was born in the Town of Howard to Alvin and Sophie (Ingebretson) Dahl on April 19, 1927. She was confirmed at Running Valley Free Lutheran Church and attended school in New Auburn, Auburndale Country School and graduated from Bloomer High School. After graduation she worked as an apprentice under Lucille Friberg as a beauty operator until she married Elmer Ferg on September 12, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer. Pansy and Elmer farmed in partnership with Elmer’s brother Wilmer and his wife Arlene on the Ferg homestead. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid serving as president and treasurer. Pansy’s hobbies included crocheting, crossword puzzles and gardening, but most of all she loved children. Unable to have children of her own she embraced her nieces and nephews and later in life her greatest joy was spending time with her grandnieces and grandnephews and their children.
