Allen G. Hansen

Allen G. Hansen, “The Flytier”, age 71, passed away on November 15, 2023 at the home he built in the Eagle Point Township.  He was born on March 21, 1952 in Wisconsin to Lars and Grace (Gerland) Hansen.  Allen attended Boise State where he earned a BS, which is something Allen liked to do, “B-S”. Allen worked as a truck driver for Happy Sleeper and QRP for many years and of course made and sold many fly-fishing flies.  He married Barbara Ryan in 1999 at the old Scandinavian Church in the town of Woodmohr.  He had a love for horses, was a fisherman, hunter and the caretaker of the Scandinavian Cemetery for over 30 years. 

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Hansen; brothers: Jim and Tom (Pam) Hansen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Alice Hansen; siblings: Elaine Robinette, Robert C. Hansen, and Wilbur “Skip” Hansen; and sister in-law: Darlene Hansen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be in the Scandinavian cemetery.   Online Condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
