Allen Grill

Allen L. Grill, age 73, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley Hospital in Bloomer. He was born March 26, 1936 in Bloomer to Casper & Mae (Allen) Grill. He married Juanita Zwiefelhofer on November 22, 1958 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. He worked as a mechanic for International Harvester and later as a self employed mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, the Tomah Tractor Pull and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons: Wayne (Virginia) Grill of Cumberland and Patrick (Linda Homann) Grill of Bloomer one daughter: Tina (Pete Wang) Grill of Colfax; one brother: Benedict (Bernadine) Grill of Bloomer; one sister: Ida (Dale Pember) Hable of Bloomer; two grandchildren: Raymond Grill & Ashley Grill; one step-grandchild: Tammy; one great-granddaughter: Isabella; four step-great-grandchildren: Sara, Savanna, Taylor & Marissa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Juanita; three stillborn siblings.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with David W. Olson officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the South Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
