Aline A. Buchner, age 91, passed away at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer on January 28, 2020. She was born on February 26, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Eugene and Anna (Deyerler) Waldbuesser. Aline got her teaching degree after attending UWEC and Wheaton College. Aline came to Bloomer with her family on vacation where she met and fell in love with Arnold at a local dance. They were married on February 7, 1948. Together they farmed and Aline taught middle school math, retiring after 24 years. Aline traveled the world, and authored two books on her family tree and her life experiences. She taught Sunday School and served on the Bloomer School Board for many years. In her free, time she enjoyed playing cards, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the Bloomer Women’s Club, Red Hat Society, and the Birthday Club. Aline was always on the move and was never afraid to voice her opinion; always ready for lively conversation. She had a strong impact on many lives and will be missed.
She is survived by her sons: Roy (Georgia) of Birchwood, Gene (Laurie) of New Auburn and Jeff (Lori) of Bloomer; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; special friend and caregiver: Barb Jarr
She was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold and her parents: Eugene and Anna
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Bloomer with Pastor Bruce Rimmereid officiating. There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer on Friday January, 31, 2020. Interment will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
