Alice "Sue" Culver

Alice “Sue” Delores (Hanson) Culver passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Country Terrace Care Facility in Bloomer WI.
She was born on January 23, 1924 in Bloomer, to Arthur and Clara (Lee) Hanson. She spent her life as a housewife raising and nurturing her children. She was married to Wallace Culver on October 10, 1946 and they lived together in Bloomer until his death in 1986. Sue loved to sew and to go bowling. She would also partake in the occasional card game. She was an active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer and a member of the Ladies Aide.

Sue is survived by her two sons: Gary (Pat) Culver of Eau Claire, Thomas (Beth) Culver of LaCrosse; two daughters: Pam (Russ) Dachel of Bloomer, Debra (Ron) Josepher of Tampa Bay FL; two brothers: Gordon (Jona) Hanson, Duane (Judy) Hanson of Chetek; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Wally; parents Arthur and Clara; sister Arlene Ferg

Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bloomer on Thursday, June 18th at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Bruce Rimmereid will be officiating. Friends and family may call between 12:00 and 2:00 at the church on Thursday. Internment will take place at the Bloomer City Cemetery following the service.
