Alfred D. Ziebell, 83, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away Monday, May, 13, 2013. His jokes always kept us laughing and his knowledge made him Mr. Fix-it.
Alfred was born in Bloomer, Wis., and moved to Rockford in 1950. He worked for Sundstrand for more than 30 years. Alfred married Mary Mittelsteadt on June 5th, 1954.
Survivors include their loving daughters, Tammy (Joseph) Reiss of Chicago, IL and Terry (Scott) Furman of Belvidere, IL; grandchildren, Amber (Jared) Haerterich and Seth Furman; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Adyson and many other relatives and friends including his endeared nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by loving wife, Mary of 58 years, parents, Fred and Ida Ziebell and siblings Valeria, Gilbert, Melvin, Fern, Alice and Lucielle and his close dear friend Harold Ludwigson. The family would like to thank Northwoods Care Center and all the other medical staff for their care and compassion.
There will be a small grave site service at 2 p.m. in Bloomer Cemetery on June 8th, 2013. Immediately after the service, there will be a gathering at Harms Way in Bloomer for cake and coffee.
