Obituary for Alfred A. Schlender
Alfred A. Schlender, age 94, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley Hospital in Bloomer. He was born March 17, 1914 in Chippewa County to Herman & Augusta (Zimmerman) Schlender. He married Margaret Hartman. He worked at Chippewa County Dairy and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, reading and visiting with people.
He is survived by four sons: Stephen (Marilyn) Schlender of Bloomer, Alfred (Bonnie) Schlender of Bloomer, Daniel Schlender of Boise ID & Michael Schlender of Chippewa Falls; three daughters: Susan (Larry) Berg of Bloomer, Jennifer Libersky of Chippewa Falls & Linda (Curt) Janko of Bloomer; 11 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Harold & John; three half-brothers: Herman, George & Frank.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Turner Cemetery, Town of Bloomer, Chippewa County. There will be no visitation.
