Alberta A. "Berta" Robey (Lund)

Alberta A. “Berta” Robey, age 79, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at Wissota Health Center in Chippewa Falls. She was born January 3, 1935 in Wisconsin to Albert and Myrtle (Dutton) Lund.. She married Duane Robey On June 11, 1955 at Bethel Lutheran Church in New Auburn. Alberta was a dedicated wife and mother, spending countless hours at her grandchildren’s ballgames. She was a great cook, enjoyed a good conversation on the phone with her sisters and loved attending family functions and parties where she was usually the last one to leave.

She is survived by her husband: Duane of New Auburn; two daughters: Diana (Kevin Thompson) Robey of Lehigh Acres FL and Kim (Scott) Fladten of New Auburn; one son: Troy (Jennifer) Robey of New Auburn; two sisters: Betty (James) Beal of New Auburn and Shirley (Ronald) Marquardt of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Jessie and Brock Smutney, Alysa Thompson, Ashley and Sarah Butterfield, Remington, Triton and Caston Robey.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Myrtle Lund; four sisters: Arlene Lynn, Ethel Sundly, Juanita Reese and Donna Haye.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude’s Church in New Auburn with Rev. Melinda Halom from Bethel Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek. Friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
