Obituary for Adeline "PeeWee" Younger

Adeline Z. “Peewee” Younger, age 94, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer. She was born November 4, 1914 in Chicago to James & Anna (Murdry) Zanta. She married Ray Younger on October 18, 1941 in Chicago. She worked as a punch press operator at the Burton Dixie Mattress Factory in Chicago and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making scarves & mittens for charity, gardening, taking walks, being outdoors, spending time with her family, friends and dogs.

She is survived by two sons: Russell (Pam) Younger of Chippewa Falls and Gary (Jane) Younger of Bloomer; seven grandchildren: David (Michelle) Younger, Jason Younger, Jennifer (Lance) Younger, J.R.(Jamie) Younger, Matt (Tina) Petska, Bobi (Todd) Beaudette & Ray (Desiree) Younger; eleven great grandchildren: Cody, Caitlin & Bryce Younger, Shayne Younger, Abbi, Bryant & Colt Petska, Chloe, Collin & Claire
Beaudette, Brody Younger; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ray; one sister: Blanche; five brothers: Ed, Frank, Jim, Arthur and George.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with David W. Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Rufledt Cemetery, located in the Town of Bloomer, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday at The Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer. There will be no visitation Wednesday evening.
