Ada M. Reischel, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at MCHS in Bloomer. She was born July 13, 1932 in Rochester MN to George and Marjory (Wellman) Stanley, She married Jerome Reischel on May 26, 1951 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Ada worked as a library clerk for the Bloomer School District for many years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, past president of Catholic Women’s Club and past president of Martin A. Treptow VFW Auxiliary 295. She had a very musical family and she sang with the Combination and the Resurrection Singers. Ada had several passions that included knitting, sewing and traveling.
She is survived by two daughters: Rebecca (Rodney) Gilles of Elmwood WI and Pamela (Charles) Nichols of Minneapolis MN ; significant other: Melvin Fanetti of Bloomer; one brother: Jay (Cordelia) Stanley of California; one sister: Helen Stanley of California; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Marjory Stanley; husband: Jerome; daughter: Susan Eytcheson; brothers: Benjamin, Edwin and Lee Stanley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 on Thursday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 PM. There will also be a visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 at the funeral home on Friday before going to the church.
