Vada was a very special part of the Wagenbach extended family. I was happy to continue a friendship and a connection with her through the years. Due to her urging, I was able to connect with 'PeeWee' Kolb in California so we could keep in touch that way too. I enjoyed some sweet conversations over the phone even up to this year. She was always so happy to have news of the family and of what was going on in our lives. Vada was a loving, special soul. May God welcome her home even as those left behind miss her.

My grandparents, Ray and Elaine Klukas, lived on the corner next to John and Vada. As a child, i remember visiting my grandmother and visiting with John and Vada. Vada was an angel on earth when my grandma was ill. Always helping and advising for the best care for her. Vada will always have a special place in my heart for that. My dad and mom kept in occasion contact after my grandma passed and it was always such a joy to visit with both of your parents. My father and i stopped to visit Vada about 2 years ago. We arrived, unannounced, and of course she warmly invited us in. We had a nice visit but it was short, She was on the go to a couple appointments. When i let Vada know that my father had passed this last spring, i received i really nice letter in return from her. She said she was at the health care center with hopes of returning home. I will miss our visits but know that Vada will always be remembered very fondly by our family. May she be lifted up on angel wings. May God bless your family. With sincere sympathy. Carolyn Essmann
