Mayo Loofboro

February 15, 1937 — September 25, 2021

Mayo Jessie Loofboro, age 84, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at her home in rural New Auburn. She was born February 15, 1937, in Wisconsin to Frederick and Mayo (Baxter) Fuss. She married Rodger Loofboro on August 5, 1957, at the 7th Day Baptist Church in New Auburn. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 25, 1982, and she enjoyed sharing her knowledge and faith in Jehovah God with others. Her family, both physical and spiritual, and her love for Jehovah God were held most dear in her life.

Mayo received her teaching degree and worked as a teacher as well as other jobs like Jerome Foods, Dairy queen, Paulson eggs, Meter reader for local Electric cooperative. She was always a hard worker & respected by those who worked with her. She was an animal lover and enjoyed riding horses and taking care of her dogs, especially her "Sweetie." She also enjoyed gardening, camping, baking, sewing, cutting wood, or anything outdoors.

She is survived by her husband Rodger of New Auburn; sons: Craig (Becky) Loofboro of Sand Creek and Scott (Kim) Loofboro of New Auburn; daughters: Julie (Tom) Foiles of Jim Falls and Laurie (Wayne) Metcalf of New Auburn; sister Linda Van Horn-Punke of Stratford, WI; Aunt Fran Reich of Rice Lake; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Mayo Fuss; son Randall (Randy) Loofboro; brothers: William and Robert; sisters: Laura, Edith (Jane), and Joanne.

An online memorial service will be held via Zoom on October 9, 2021, at 3:00 PM.

A live visitation with the family will be held at the Sand Creek Senior Center N13323 Morning Side Street in Sand Creek. Friday, October 8, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
